For this Track Feature, we're stoked to bring you "God Damn Wreck", the powerful new single from Toronto based artist Sketch. To get right to the point, this track fucking rips. You're pulled into the track in the first ten seconds, and from there you're thrown down a journey of impressive vocal and instrumental work, unique transitions, infectiously catchy hooks, and spot-on production.
Just by listening to the heartfelt lyricism, you know the song has a heavy meaning behind it. When hearing what songwriter/frontman Justin Zoltek had to say about the track, it really hit hard "This song was written about a finding my girlfriend after she committed suicide and how it changed my life. The trauma from the experience gave me PTSD and I worried I wouldn't be able to recover from the loss and situation. I wrote this song as a way to cope with what I was going through.. the emotions are raw and real."
We're not sure what is next for Sketch, but we cannot wait to hear more. We added this track to our Underground Punk playlist on Spotify. Make sure to follow the project (linked above) to see what else they have going on. Stream the new single below!
