U.K.-based band, Down in Motion, released their debut single at the beginning of the year. "Into the River" is a catchy new tune that boasts a beautiful blend between the poppy side of indie rock and the more gritty side of punk. This is quite the introduction to the band's sound and one that fans of the style will definitely want to hear more of.
Pulling you in with a soft instrumental under poppy vocal flows, this track soon erupts into ripping instrumental work, singalong hooks, unique transitions, and spot-on production work. The band shines brightly here by being able to combine their influences to deliver a style that feels nostalgic while at the same time new. We're not sure what they have planned next in terms of releases, but we can't wait to hear more!
You can jam along to the new single below. We also added it to our Underground Punk playlist on Spotify. If you like what you hear, make sure to follow Down in Motion so you can stay on top of what else they have going on. Enjoy!
