Philadelphia-based band, The Indestructible Water Bear, just dropped their debut album, Everything is OK. A 10-track ride that boasts a dynamic blend of Pop Rock, Garage Rock, Indie, and straight-up Rock n Roll, this is a beautifully crafted set of songs that any fan of the genre is going to enjoy. What a debut!
Whether it's the poppy vocal flows, the ripping instrumentals, or the spot-on production work, the band shines by delivering an impressive display of songwriting. It's not easy to release a style that feels nostalgic while at the same time fresh and new, especially in the genre. Boasting the sound from what we can only assume is a group of tenured musicians, The Indestrubticule Water Bear came out swinging and planned to make a splash with this debut.
We're not sure what the band has planned next, but we are definitely excited to hear more. If this is your introduction to their sound, as it is for us, we highly suggest you give this album a full listen-through and add the band to your radar. This is a great release to remind listeners at the start of the New Year that rock isn't dead.
