Illinois-based trio, The House Flies, just dropped their debut album, Mannequin Deposit. An 8-track ride that comes fully equipped with ripping instrumentals, powerful vocal flows, and spot-on production work. What a release!
Delivering a dynamic blend of styles that fall under the Indie, Alternative, Grunge, Emo, and Shoegaze elements, the band shines brightly here by unleashing a sound that feels nostalgic while at the same time new. Unique transitions in each song will keep you engaged from start to finish, and impressive songwriting will make sure that you come back for more. We're not sure what the band has planned next but we are sure that this is a project every fan of the style will want to keep on their radar.
Each track flows seamlessly into the next on this album. That's such a big reason why Manneqiu Deposit feels so complete and full. Delivering a debut album can be tough. In a lot of cases, the band has not been able to find "their sound". This is not the case with The House Flies. Mannequin Deposit serves as the perfect and impressive introduction for any first-time listeners.
