“Fine” is the newest release from Chicago indie rock band The Darling Suns. Indie pop and new wave gently collide in this dreamy track that features laidback lead vocals with pinpricks of shimmering guitar, faint synth, and lowkey auxiliary percussion. It feels like waking up from a restful afternoon nap to the scent of petunias and fresh baked cookies carried on a light breeze. The song’s lyrical theme and instrumental mood are in complete synchrony - the easygoing nature of the track really does make us feel just fine.
