Los Angeles-based duo, My Satellite, just dropped their latest album, Person. A 10-track ride that comes fully equipped with a unique blend of styles, this is a killer release that'll leave you wanting to come back for more. We mean it, this album paints quite the picture and it gets better each time you give it a spin.
The band shines by delivering a style that feels nostalgic while at the same time new. Elements of Post-Punk, Indie Pop, Alt-Rock, Pop Rock, and more all make an appearance here. My Satellite stands out by being able to combine all of these elements into one refreshing and infectious sound. That's a very hard feat to accomplish in music, especially now.
Each track flows seamlessly into the next on this album. That's a big reason why Person feels so complete. We're not sure what the duo has planned next, but we are sure that this release deserves to bring them a tidal wave of new fans. Unlike a random collection of songs, this album feels very intentional and full. Whether it's the hypnotic vocal work, the well-produced instrumentals, or the impressive songwriting, My Satellite brings a lot to the table.
