Australian band, Ivory Dusk, just released their new EP, Tempered. A wild 4-track ride, this is an anthemic release that features an enjoyable blend of alt-rock, metal, and hard rock elements. Each track moves seamlessly into the next, leaving you with a solid release that any fan of the genre is going to dig.
Equipped with poppy vocal flows, each track amplifies and highlights its counterpart sound as you're handed ripping guitars, punchy drums, groovy bass lines, and spot-on production work. It looks like the band has been staying pretty busy releasing music since forming last year, and Tempered will no doubt continue to bring the band a fresh wave of fans.
What really captures us when listening to a new set of songs is the overall journey you're taken on. This set of 4 tracks feels very deliberate, and in an order that's supposed to be enjoyed from front to back. When it's over, all you want to do is hear more. That's exactly what an EP is supposed to do.
