London-based band, I Am Your Wife!, just unleashed their killer new album, Gore Confetti. A 7-track ride that comes fully equipped with raw and infectious energy, this album hits hard from the first note and keeps its enthusiasm until its last. What a release!
Living in the world of Punk, the band shines here by pulling from elements of Indie, Alternative, Garage Rock, and more. Impressive songwriting ties everything together, and the end result is a dynamic new sound that's tough to take off repeat. The raw production work is a serious highlight on this album too. It keeps the nostalgic sound of Punk but doesn't sound out of touch. Delivering a set of songs that feels nostalgic while at the same time new is not an easy feat. Especially in this genre.
Each song seamlessly moves into the next on this album. That's a big reason why Gore Confetti feels so complete. While it's only 6 songs, this release paints a picture. It takes you on a journey and will no doubt serve as an impressive introduction to the band's sound for any first-time listeners. We're not sure what they have planned next, but we're excited to hear more!
