Austin-based band, Frogmouth, just dropped their new album, Identity Thief. A 9-track ride that boasts a dynamic blend of styles, this is a killer new release that will no doubt leave listeners coming back for more. If this is your introduction to the band, as it was for us, Identity Thief will serve as the perfect insight into what this project has to offer.
Pulling from elements in the world of Indie, Alternative, and Garage Rock, with a dash of Punk, the sound here feels nostalgic while at the same time new. Some tracks lean to the heavier side of the genre, and others to the more poppy side of things. Every track comes fully equipped with powerful vocal flows, ripping instrumentals, big hooks, and spot-on production work.
One major highlight of this album is how complete it feels. Each track flows seamlessly into the next, delivering an impressive display of songwriting. Unlike a random collection of songs, Identity Thief feels very intentional. Best enjoyed from start to finish, this is an easy album to leave on repeat. We can't wait to see what they have planned next.
