England-based band, Bureau De Change, just dropped their debut EP, Are You Flirting with Me? A 4-track ride that comes fully equipped with hypnotic vocal flows over ripping instrumentals, this is a killer new release that boasts a dynamic sound. Elements of Punk, Garage Rock, Post-Punk, and more all blend together here, and the band shines brightly by being able to deliver an anthemic style that will leave you wanting more.
The instrumental work on this release is pretty unique. Each song cuts between soft and aggressive sounds, though both are equally inviting. Unique transitions in each track keep you engaged from start to finish, and the clever lyrical work ties the knot to secure that Bureau De Change will end up on the radar of every fan of the genre. A debut can be tricky, it's the first look for new fans to get an idea of what you're all about. The band killed it here and this will no doubt continue to bring them fresh waves of new listeners.
Each song on this release flows seamlessly into the next. That's why this EP feels so complete. Unlike a random collection of songs, Are You Flirting with Me? comes across as a very intentional release. Our only complaint? We wish it was longer! Four tracks is just not enough, but that's not a bad thing. By the time this wild ride is over, all you'll want to do is hear more, and that's exactly what an EP is supposed to do.
You can check out the new release in its entirety below. We also added a couple of our personal favorites to our Underground Punk playlist on Spotify. If you like what you hear, make sure to follow Bureau De Change so you can stay on top of what else they have going on. Enjoy!
