Pennsylvania-based artist, Bruner, recently dropped their catchy new album, My Descent into Madness. A poppy 10-track ride, this release takes listeners on a wild ride full of blending pop and rock elements. Whether it's the ripping instrumentals or the hypnotic vocal flows, this album has something for everyone. What a release!
To say this is a unique release would be selling it short. Each track on this album feels a little different, but they still feel like they belong. While the overall emotion and style might switch a bit from track to track, each song still flows seamlessly into the next. That's a big reason why this album feels so full. Bruner shines brightly by being able to creatively blend so many different sounds with their own style, leaving listeners with a dynamic release that's best enjoyed on repeat.
It's always refreshing to stumble across a release that isn't afraid to bend genres. There are points in My Descent into Madness where you feel like you're grooving out to an indie pop jam, and there are also times when you find yourself enjoying ripping instrumentals in a garage rock tune. The beauty here is that Bruner is able to mold all of these elements into one big enjoyable journey.
You can jam along to the album in its entirety below. We also added a couple of our personal favorites to our Underground Indie & Alternative playlist on Spotify. If you like what you hear, make sure to follow Bruner so you can stay on top of their future releases. Enjoy!
