ALBUM FEATURE: THE DAYTIME HIGH - "THE DAYTIME HIGH"

Los Angeles-based band, The Daytime High, released their debut album earlier this year. The album, a self-titled 10-track ride that comes fully equipped with infectious energy and killer production work, is an impressive display of songwriting that's tough to take off repeat. Boasting a dynamic blend of styles, the band shines brightly by delivering a bright and poppy sound. What a release!

Elements of Pop Rock, Indie, and Alternative all combine here leaving listeners with an inviting sound. The most impressive thing about this release is that it's their debut album. A lot of pressure comes with a debut. It serves as the first chance for fans to get a taste of how the band can combine a complete set of songs. The Daytime High really knocked it out of the park with this release. This album paints a beautifully crafted picture and it leaves you wanting more.

Each song on their self-titled flows seamlessly into the next. That's a big reason why this album feels so complete. Unlike a random collection of singles, their self-titled feels very intentional. Any fan of the bright side of indie and alt-rock will agree that The Daytime High can stand with any major name in the genre when it comes to unleashing a dynamic set of songs.

You can jam along to the new album in its entirety below. We also added a couple of our personal favorites to our Underground Indie & Alternative playlist on Spotify. If you like what you hear, make sure to follow The Daytime High so you can stay on top of what else they have going on. Enjoy!
