NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT is the debut EP released by Quebec-based trio, THE 351'S. A 4-track ride that boats a raw and old-school punk rock sound, this is a killer set of songs that any fan of the genre is going to love. What a release!
Distorted guitars are presented in each track and complimented through fuzzy and groovy bass tones and crashing drums. The ripping instrumentals are a big element in this release, but they really stand out by boosting the singalong lyrical work and powerful vocal performance. The band shines brightly by delivering a style that feels both nostalgic while at the same time new. That's a tough thing to accomplish in today's music work.
Our only complaint is that we wish this release was longer. But, hey, that's exactly what an EP is supposed to do. For a debut, NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT serves as an impressive display of songwriting and will no doubt leave fans of the genre ready for more. We can't wait to see what's next!
